STEM education fosters critical thinking and problem-solving, but traditional methods often fail to engage young learners. Many educational robotics kits are too complex for children, relying on joysticks or programming interfaces. This project, Gesture-Controlled Robotic Arm for Kids, introduces a user-friendly robotic arm operated through simple hand gestures, making STEM learning more accessible and interactive. Using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle, the system integrates a gesture detection module, a robotic arm, and control interface. Hand gestures captured via a smartphone camera are processed in real time and translated into movements using an Arduino and servomotors. The design is affordable, portable, and ideal for schools, workshops, or home use. This project enhances children's cognitive and motor skills while introducing them to technologies like embedded systems and computer vision. By bridging theory and hands-on experience, it inspires curiosity and innovation in robotics.
