Abstract
Description
In the modern era, maintaining consistent supplement intake is crucial for overall health, particularly for the elderly, busy professionals, and individuals with chronic illnesses. Adherence to supplement schedule plays a vital role in maintaining health and preventing deficiencies, especially for individuals with specific nutritional needs. However, the fast-paced lifestyle of modern society often leads to forgetfulness and inconsistent supplement intake, which can compromise the effectiveness of prescribed supplement. Although supplements play a critical role in filling nutritional gaps, many users struggle to adhere to their supplement schedules due to these challenges. This project proposes a Supplement Reminder and Monitoring System using IoT to address these challenges. The system is designed to provide timely reminders and real-time monitoring of supplement consumption to ensure users adhere to their prescribed schedules. The system integrates sensor to monitor supplement consumption and alert users when it is time to take their supplements. The Blynk-based mobile application enables users to set scheduled supplement times and alerts users to refill pills using an LED indicator. Supplement intake data is recorded and stored in the database. The system also includes a supplement dispenser to ensure accurate and convenient dosing. Using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, the system is developed in iterative phases to improve efficiency. This project aims to improve supplement adherence and simplify the management of supplement schedules. Thus, the system offers a practical and effective solution to help users maintain consistent supplementation, promoting better health and well-being.
