Abstract
Description
The Smart Budget Personal Finance Tracking Mobile Application is designed to help users to manage their personal finances easily and effectively. This application simplifies expense tracking, budgeting, and financial planning by integrating key features such as automated transaction logging through receipt scanning using Azure Form Recognizer, monthly budget assignment per category, spending summary reports, push notification reminders, and an AI chatbot powered by the Gemini API for financial guidance. It is developed using the Flutter framework and Dart programming language to ensure seamless performance on Android device. The system uses Firebase for secure data storage and hosting, allowing real-time access to user information. To evaluate the system’s effectiveness, functional and non-functional testing were conducted, along with usability testing involving 25 participants. Results showed that 100% of users agreed the app was easy to use, while 92% found the receipt scanning feature helpful in simplifying financial tracking. Additionally, 80% of users reported that the AI chatbot was beneficial for providing real-time financial suggestions. Overall, this project aims to address the limitations of traditional budgeting methods and existing financial apps which help users to develop better financial habits and achieve their financial goals effectively.
