This research is to stress out the intellectual property management of Sarawak traditional product, Pua Kumbu. Intellectual property is a tangible and intangible asset that must have certain laws that meet the criteria for protecting both assets. The acts under intellectual property law are copyright, patent, trademark, geographical indication, industrial design, and integrated circuit layout design. With acts such as Sarawak traditional product, Pua Kumbu can be protected from a variety of tangible and intangible aspects. Intellectual property management of traditional products acts as a safeguard that ensures the original idea of a product is protected and gives the owner exclusive rights to ideas or goods for which they have right to control and exploit their intellectual property right. Pua Kumbu which is traditional product of Iban community in Sarawak with high aesthetic and market value always be the desire of everyone to own it. In today’s modern age, the copyright for traditional products is still unable to be resolved without offending anyone. Therefore, this research discusses in detail the appropriate laws to be used in intellectual property management for entrepreneurs, owners and foundation that maintain the traditional culture and products of Iban community. In addition to examining the impact of intellectual property management and analyzing intellectual property management strategies as an effort to help safeguard the aesthetic value, originality, and quality of Pua Kumbu.
