Abstract
Description
This study investigated the influence of supervisory working alliance and supervisory style on supervision outcomes and where self-efficacy ac as moderating factor. A survey was administered to 100 of trainee counsellors from 6 universities, UNIMAS, UPSI, UPM, UM, USIM and UMS. Results indicated a positive correlation between supervisory working alliance and supervisory style and supervision outcomes. The results also indicated that high variance of supervision outcomes can be explained by supervisory working alliance and supervisory style. However, self-efficacy did not significantly moderate these variables. This study highlights the importance of building strong supervisory relationships, using flexible supervisory styles, and encouraging trainee confidence to enhance supervision outcomes in Malaysian counsellor training
