| dc.description | This study investigates the factors influencing employees' and future employees’ acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruitment processes, focusing on three key constructs: transparency, perceived fairness, and trust. While the integration of AI into hiring practices has been widely adopted to improve efficiency and reduce human bias, limited research exists on how candidates perceive these systems, particularly in terms of ethical considerations and user experience. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 391 respondents in Petra Jaya, Kuching, through a structured questionnaire employing a five-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlation analysis were used to examine the relationships between the independent variables (transparency, fairness, trust) and the dependent variable (acceptance of AI in recruitment). The results revealed strong, statistically significant positive correlations between all three factors and AI acceptance, with trust emerging as the most influential predictor. These findings contribute to the refinement of the AI Acceptance Model and offer practical implications for organizations seeking to implement ethical and user-centered AI recruitment systems. The study highlights the importance of building transparent, fair, and trustworthy AI platforms to foster greater acceptance among job candidates. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed. | |
