Abstract
Description
This report presents the development process of ChemiMonsters, an educational and entertaining game designed to teach players about the periodic table through interactive gameplay. The project aims to address the challenges of traditional methods in learning chemical elements by combining gamification with scientific concepts. The report details the requirements gathering phase, which utilized questionnaires to understand user needs, preferences, and learning challenges. Based on the findings, the game integrates features such as engaging visuals, puzzle-solving mechanics, and real-world applications of elements to enhance user engagement and knowledge retention. System design methodologies, including workflows, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams, are outlined to provide a structured approach to the game's development. Additionally, the report highlights the use of machine learning to predict optimal game challenges and features based on player performance. The result is a cohesive and functional game concept that blends education with entertainment, offering an innovative solution to learning chemistry in a fun and interactive way.
