In recent years, self-medication has become increasingly common. This raises concerns about medication safety, especially for children that do not have enough medication knowledge. To address this, it is essential to enhance awareness and practices surrounding medication safety to protect children from potential harm. This project aims address this issue by developing a game that educates children about the safe and appropriate use of medications, focusing on the "5R" principles: right patient, right medicine, right dose, right route of administration, and right time of administration. The methodology used in this project is Agile methodology, which is a flexible and iterative approach that foster continuous improvement through regular feedback and adaptation. An interview session with a pharmacist from Klinik Kesihatan Petra Jaya (KKPJ) to gather opinions and preferences regarding the content and design of the game. Next, a flowchart and storyboard has been created to serve as blueprints of the game’s structure for the development process. Third, the game is developed using Unity, a platform that is good at creating immersive 2D experiences. To evaluate functionality and user experience, the game is put through a playtesting. Fifth, the game is ready for release on the selected platforms, making sure that the intended audience can access it. Sixth, more playtesting of the game with the intended audience is conducted. The pre and post-test results are noted and assessed to determine whether MedGuard is a useful tool for teaching medication safety.
