| dc.description | This study investigates the relationship between training methods and employee performance by comparing online and in-person training formats. The focus is on how training experience together with skill and knowledge acquisition influence employee performance across both methods. Data were collected from 102 respondents at Sarawak Skills Development Centre through a structured questionnaire. The analysis involved descriptive statistics, normality testing, Spearman and Pearson correlation analysis, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and paired sample t-test. The findings reveal strong positive relationships between training experience as well as skill and knowledge acquisition with employee performance in both online and in-person settings. However, when comparing the overall effectiveness of the two methods, no significant difference was found. This suggests that both training formats can be equally effective, provided the content and delivery are well planned and meaningful to the learners. The results provide useful insights for training providers and organizations in choosing suitable delivery methods without focusing only on format. Instead, they should focus more on the quality of training experience along with the skill and knowledge gained by participants. | |
