This study was designed to examine the relationship between green human resource management (GHRM) practices and employee performance. This research employed a quantitative survey design with a set of surveys returned representing 108 employees at three hotels in Kuching which are Sheraton Hotel, The Waterfront Hotel and Raia Hotel. The two standardized instruments used in this study include GHRM Practices Questionnaires by Shah (2019) and Yong et al. (2019) and Employee Performance Questionnaires by Ragas et al. (2017). The Pearson Correlation Coefficient revealed that there was a significant and strong positive relationship amongst all the three practices of a GHRM and employee performance. The results of this study imply that GHRM practices are effective in improving performance of employees in the hotel industry. The study helps increase the number of literatures available on sustainable human resource practice and it offers some practical information to practitioners in the human resource seeking to ensure that environmental sustainability can be used to foster employee productivity.
