| dc.description | This research paper set out to test the correlation between User Acceptance of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Employee Satisfaction among the employees in the public sector. The study included a quantitative approach, and the information obtaining was embraced by delivering Google Forms. In this study, 80 participants took part in the study. Descriptive analysis and Spearman Correlation were used to analyze the data to observe the connection between the adoption of HRIS by the users and the satisfaction of the employees. Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model (Venkatesh et al., 2003), the investigation examined four main constructs that are Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence and Facilitating Conditions. The result indicated that there was a positive significant correlation between Effort Expectancy and Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions and employee satisfaction. There was however, a weak and non-significant correlation between Performance Expectancy. These findings show that performance expectations are not the most significant factors when it comes to upgrading the satisfaction of the employees than user-friendly systems, social support, and adequate organizational resources. The paper can assist the HR professionals to carry out the HRIS implementation better and enhance employee involvement in the public sector. | |
