Navigating university life poses significant challenges for students in Malaysia’s public universities, especially newcomers unfamiliar with campus environments and nearby amenities. Existing solutions often lack centralized support tailored to their academic and personal needs. This paper introduces Unifo+, a centralized mobile application designed specifically for students in Malaysia’s public universities. Unifo+ integrates features such as interactive campus maps, detailed course directories, and real-time updates on nearby amenities. By leveraging open-source map Application Programming Interfaces (API) and real-time data, the application helps students navigate their surroundings, estimate travel times, and make informed decisions about their academic and social activities. In usability testing, Unifo+ demonstrated improved decision-making for route selection, faster access to university resources, and higher student satisfaction compared to conventional resources like printed maps or university websites. By addressing common challenges faced by university students, Unifo+ provides a seamless, inclusive, and user-friendly solution to improve both academic and personal aspects of university life.
