| dc.description | This study investigates the relationship between factors of training effectiveness and employees’ retention in the oil and gas industry in Sipitang, Sabah. The research specifically focuses on four key factors of training effectiveness including training environment, training content, skills, and motivation. A quantitative approach was used, involving the distribution of structured questionnaires to employees at Turcomp Engineering Services Sdn Bhd. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation analysis, and Multiple Regression analysis. The findings from Pearson Correlation Analysis revealed that training environment, training content, and motivation have a positive and significant relationship with employee retention, while skills showed a weak and non-significant relationship. Multiple Regression analysis revealed that training environment had the strongest influence on employee retention, as indicated by the highest standardized beta coefficient. However, none of the factors were statistically significant predictors of employee retention. These findings suggest that well-structured and motivating training programs, supported by a conducive environment and relevant content, can enhance employee retention in the oil and gas industry. | |
