The “FutbolLink”, a web-based social networking platform designed to address the visibility and connectivity challenges faced by aspiring footballers in Malaysia. With football being the nation’s most popular sport, the platform aims to bridge the gap between grassroots talent and professional opportunities by integrating tailored features for showcasing skills, connecting with clubs, and fostering community engagement. By analyzing existing platforms like Social442, BePro, and Be Sport, FutbolLink incorporates their strengths while addressing key limitations. Employing Agile methodology with a Scrum framework, the development ensures iterative improvements and user-centric design. Comprehensive features, including detailed profiles, performance tracking, messaging, and event management, make FutbolLink a hybrid platform that supports both professional networking and football development. The project highlights the potential of digital platforms to democratize access to opportunities, particularly for underrepresented communities, contributing to the growth of Malaysian football.
