Customers today demand greater transparency and trust in the supply chain, especially in industries like livestock, where product authenticity and safety are critical. However, traditional supply chain systems often lack efficiency, security, and visibility, leading to challenges like fraud and operational delays. To address these issues, this project proposes a blockchain-based supply chain management system specifically designed for the livestock sector. The system leverages a hybrid blockchain model, combining private blockchains for secure storage of sensitive data and public blockchains for transparent, verifiable transaction records. The project also integrates innovative features such as tokenization, where each livestock is represented as a unique digital token for easy tracking and fraud prevention. Additionally, smart contracts automate processes like livestock registration, ownership transfer, and status updates. The system includes role-based access for suppliers, administrators, buyers, and retailers, ensuring streamlined operations. This project aims to revolutionize livestock supply chain management by offering a secure, transparent, and scalable solution powered by blockchain technology.
