| dc.description | The economic structure of Vietnam has gone through a substantial transformation from a pure agrarian sector to one more diverse with the incorporation of industrial and serviceoriented sectors. The research employs I-O analysis in exploring inter-industry linkages that impact output, income, and value-added multipliers in the economy of Vietnam. Applying this updated I-O table from 2000 to 2022, this paper identifies key economic development drivers and their mutual dependencies in deriving an overall evaluation of the extent of industrial linkage in Vietnam. The results also show that although the industrial and service sectors have emerged as major contributors to GDP, agriculture remains an important sector with strong backward linkages. These results provide useful insights for policymakers in strategic economic planning, resource allocation, and formulating policies that promote balanced and sustainable growth. The methodological approach of this study contributes to the wider discussion on economic resilience and structural transformation in emerging economies. | |
