The goal of this project is to develop a Smart Access Hotel System that enhances security, convenience, and operational efficiency by utilizing fingerprint authentication and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Traditional hotel access systems, which rely on physical keys or magnetic key cards, are prone to security risks such as loss, theft, and unauthorized duplication. These issues not only compromise guest safety but also increase the administrative burden on hotel staff. This project proposes a modern solution by integrating a smart door lock, utilizing the Arduino Nano 33 IoT microcontroller, a fingerprint sensor, a keypad, and a buzzer, along with a mobile application. Guests can conveniently book a room via the mobile app, complete a self-check-in process and securely access their rooms without needing physical keys. At the same time, hotel staff can remotely manage access, monitor logs, and receive real time alerts through the same mobile app. By addressing the shortcomings of traditional systems, the proposed solution provides a more reliable and user-friendly method for managing hotel room access, ultimately enhancing the overall guest experience and improving hotel operations.
