| dc.description | Water village are communities located near the open sea and river. Communities that live in water settlement areas are situated totally above the water and are classified as communities that are vulnerable to natural disasters. They are also those who are incapable of avoiding danger or reacting when a disaster is imminent. By using the concept of Community Safety and Well-being, this study focuses on the safety and well-being of life for the community in the village on the water. The objective of this study is to examine the elements of CSWB in the context of water villages and describe the concept of CSWB for communities in water villages. The methodology used is a mixed method that is both quantitative and qualitative. The data obtained was analysed using quantitative analysis, which is descriptive and inferential, as well as qualitative analysis using thematic analysis. The findings of the study show that there are five elements of CSWB related to community life in the water village: community life, individual life, standard of living, safety, and health. At the same time, there are four main issues analysed related to the safety of the community here: strong winds, heavy rains, drought and wildlife threat. The results of the study have formed a CSWB framework for community life in the water village. Through this framework, aspects of community safety and well-being at the individual level can be highlighted. It can also be a reference for other parties interested in empowering community safety in water village. Therefore, this study also suggests improvements in community life such as telecommunications, safety communication, and capacity development, especially related to safety and well-being. Future studies suggest vi that the scope of the study be expanded by looking at CSWB from a systemic and operational level for water village. | |
