Nursing students are susceptible to burnout, a syndrome brought on by extended stress, because of the demands placed on them by their studies, clinical rotations, and emotional needs. The purpose of this study was to assess the level of burnout among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students and examines how its relationship/association to sociodemographic variables such age, gender, race, academic year, household, and clinical experience. Using basic random sampling, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out among 163 nursing students. A self-administered questionnaire based on the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) was used to gather data, and SPSS Version 27 was used for analysis. Study found that majority (50.3%) of the students reported high burnout while 25.2% reporting extremely high burnout. Further analysis using Chi-square and Spearman's correlation tests. No significant correlation between burnout and any sociodemographic factor (age, gender, year of study, race, living household and weeks of clinical experience). The findings of this study provided further information about the level of burnout among nursing students, regardless of their sociodemographic background. Thus, emphasizing the necessity of universal interventions like stress management classes, education on emotional resilience, and easily available mental health care by the educators or related institution should be considered to ensure good mental health among the students.
