dc.descriptionThis study examines at the impact of government expenditure, foreign direct investment (FDI), and exports of goods and services on Malaysia's economic growth from 1990 to 2022. The research uses annual time series data from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to evaluate GDP as the dependent variable, while government expenditure, foreign direct investment, and exports are analysed as independent variables. The study's specific objectives are to examine the impact of government expenditure on economic growth, the influence of FDI on economic growth, and the contribution of goods and services exports on economic growth in Malaysia. E-Views 13 program is used to identify both short term and long-term correlations among the variables through econometric approaches such as stationarity tests, cointegration analysis, and dynamic modelling. This study, which covers a period marked by significant economic events such as the Asian Financial Crisis (1997-1998), the Global Financial Crisis (2007-2008), and the COVID-19 pandemic (2019-2020), provides insights into the interconnected roles of fiscal policies, foreign investments, and trade in shaping Malaysia's economic development, providing valuable guidance to policymakers in fostering long-term growth and economic resilience.
