| dc.description | The current process of connecting students with part-time job opportunities are often ineffective and lacks an engaging platform that meet the students need. SmartHire: A Dynamic Part-Time Job Portal System for Student Employment aims to bridge the gap by developing a web-based platform that streamlines the job search and application process for students. Simultaneously, it provides employers a user-friendly dashboard for managing job postings and track applicants and offering structured feedback. The system includes gamification features like badges and achievements to motivate student and encourage consistent platform engagement. The project uses iterative development in line with the Agile methodology to ensure ongoing improvement and alignment with user needs. The project uses HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL for development. As part of the requirement-gathering phase, potential employers were interviewed to collect data and make sure the system meets practical requirements. The survey’s results showed a high level of need for a centralized, engaging platform to improve to part-time job search experience. Usability testing conducted with 27 participants resulted in an average SUS score of 88.52, with over 92% of respondents finding the system easy to use, indicating excellent usability and user satisfaction. The findings highlight the need for innovative solutions like SmartHire, which not only makes job matching easier but also promotes students' professional growth through employer reviews and performance tracking. | |
