Abstract

Description

This study investigates the relationship between career resilience, career insight, and career identity with job satisfaction among school staff in Pusa, Sarawak. Using London’s (1983) career motivation model as a framework, a quantitative cross-sectional design was employed with 58 respondents from two government schools. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlation. Results showed significant positive relationships between all three factors and job satisfaction, with career resilience showing the strongest correlation (r = .651), followed by career insight (r = .587) and career identity (r = .544). These findings suggest that fostering resilience, self-awareness, and professional alignment can enhance job satisfaction in rural educational settings. The study underscores the importance of supportive organizational practices and recommends future longitudinal research incorporating additional variables like organizational support and leadership style.
