Abstract
Description
This study explores the mental health challenges faced by healthcare frontline workers, focusing on their coping strategies and proposed interventions to improve well-being. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with six healthcare professionals in Malaysia. Thematic analysis revealed three main challenges: burnout, stress, and anxiety. Participants shared various coping mechanisms, including emotional expression, spiritual practices, physical activities, and self-control. Additionally, they recommended interventions such as stress-relief facilities, comprehensive psychological programs, placement of counselors, and flexible working hours. The findings highlight the urgent need for targeted mental health support to enhance resilience and sustain quality care among healthcare workers. This study contributes valuable insights to inform policies and organizational practices that prioritize mental health in healthcare settings.
