This study explores the research on how job stress affects employee performance at Big Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd in Kuching, Sarawak. Pharmacy workplaces with fast-paced environments experience workplace stress which reduces productivity and damages employee health and work performance thus representing a major issue. Research indicates that essential workplace stressors such as excessive work assignments combined with work-life imbalance and insufficient rewards decrease both job satisfaction and work performance. The research team conducted surveys with 100 employees across eight locations using a quantitative method through structured questionnaires. The study uses the Job Demands-Control (JDC) and Effort-Reward Imbalance (ERI) models to analyze the impact of work demands together with autonomy and effort and rewards on stress levels and performance outcomes. This is simply because descriptive and inferential statistics were used to investigate the correlations between these variables. Undoubtedly, stress management, flexible work arrangements, and performance-based rewards are recommended in this study to increase employee well-being and corporate success. The findings showed that job demands and rewards significantly influence performance, with stress management acting as a key mediator. The analysis demonstrated that work control together with effort did not show significant effects meaning that there are other important factors at play. For this study data analysis used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) because SPSS was not utilized. The research ends by offering useful suggestions for organizational practices together with theoretical findings which draw from both JDC and ERI models.
